El Duende
El Duende process-painting is an art therapy technique that involves sequential layers of paint (and in this case found objects) to a single canvas over a period of time. The images below show the weekly changes made to a 24" x 36" canvas as part of my supervision experience at my art therapy internship site. Each layer encompasses my reflections and reactions to my experiences from the previous week, sometimes including goals for the coming week, hopes for the future, and the continued contemplation of my personal identity as an art therapist.
